For students, this takes diligent support from their family, their host families, and educational institutions in order to have a productive and meaningful experience abroad. Understanding and navigating the nuances of American and Chinese cultural differences is challenging and can be overwhelming to both students and hosts. I provide services to both by providing transition assistance into the U.S.: shortening the adaptation process, providing cultural context, and equipping students and hosts with tools to succeed.
